Abalone Coast Bioassay Test Facility

We are pleased to announce the completion of Certified of the Bioassay
facility where we will initially undertake Static Acute Bioassay on
potentially hazardous materials. Abalone Coast will offer the HAZ MAT
Screen and Definitive Bioassay to determine LC50 (lethal concentration
to half the test organisms). Samples requiring this kind of testing
generally include sludges, dredgings, soils and various industrial products
which must pass the screen assay before use in construction or shipment
to landfill.
We began accepting samples for the fish bioassay in July 2008 and
utilize the procedure developed at the CA Fish and Game Department
Laboratory by Polisini and Miller.
